“Hate This” is a middle finger to society’s norms. (Louisville, Kentucky)
OGUgly, aka Noah Oller, is a 24-year-old hip-hop artist from Louisville, Kentucky. OG started writing music at the age of 8 and started recording music at the age of 11. He began recording on a karaoke machine and microphone from the video game "Rockband." After being told he was too ugly to make it in music, he quit at 18. Haters couldn't keep down his love of music for too long, and he returned to recording music in 2017 under the moniker HDO.
In January 2019, he changed his name to OGUgly and changed his sound to incorporate EDM. His brand of "HypeRap" debuted on September 13, 2019, when he released his first EP, "The Ugly Truth." On December 13, 2019, he released his second EP, "The Beautiful Lie." On February 1, 2020, he announced his first studio album, "Phases," which would be released in 2020 and focus on his battle with depression and bipolar disorder. OGUgly continues to say "fuck you" to his haters with his newest banger, "Hate This."
"Hate This" is the first single from OGUgly’s second studio album, “Phases2.” It features a solid instrumental and strong rap verses with a pop hook. The song's music video showcases OG’s true feelings about being a normal person.
"My dream is bigger than Kentucky, watch me get, everything that I set out for as a kid. Life lessons I can pass down to my kids, like pain will teach you lessons that the love can never give, and find the lessons in my sins."
