About “I Wish I Was Wrong” By The Reverent
"I wish that I was wrong" is a song written by Eliezer that highlights some of the environmental disasters, and our own human impact, on the world on a more personal level.
Col on bass fleshes the song out and combines with Jones' incredible subtleties and accents on drums. The song is one of the band’s more relaxed songs, but it gets the message out there that the world is not forever.
The band wishes that “they were wrong,” but with the amount of conflict in the world, and the disasters that have occurred, people can all do more to effect change, and this song aims to make people more aware and ultimatley to impact change.
"I see children running for their lives again. Children are the most innocent in our world and are the most effected by war. It’s shameful.” - The Reverent
